Weka Can Swim
My swimming teacher showed me how to float and put my face under the water. Flynn
At swimming today I had a noodle around my waist to teach me to float and kick. Siobhan
I put my thumb up and cupped my hand through the water. One hand went over the back on the board. Elijah
Yesterday at swimming one of my favourite things was life saving. It was really cool because one person was pretending to drown and another person was holding a rope. When they can see that person they throw the rope to them. And they hold on tight and you pull them in. Caleb
My favourite bit was at the end. We played Throws and Tows. You throw a rope out to someone who is pretending to drown and you have to stand on the rope and let them catch it and you pull them in. After that we did it with a noodle. Lily
We had to make our bodies go sideways and we had to kick our legs and put our head on our shoulder. My favourite thing at swimming was jumping in the deep end with the lifejacket on and I had lots of fun at swimming. Rhema
Today at swimming we learnt to do dolphin dives. You dive down and then you go up again then dive down again. So you keep on doing it. At the very end of the wave pool we put life jackets on and we jumped in from the middle of the pool. Alice
