Keeping Ourselves Safe
Today in Weka Class we were introduced to Constable Garland. Constable Garland is going to be visiting us over the next two weeks to talk to us about keeping ourselves safe.
Today we told him our names, phone numbers and addresses.
Parents can you please check that your child knows their address and phone number and practices this at home, especially if the details have changed recently.
Today with our homework book we are bringing home a letter about the programme and some pamphlets with extra information. If you have any further questions please come in and speak to us.
Under the Sea - Book Parade
We had a wonderful Book Week Parade last week, a lot of thought and effort went in. Well done to everyone for coming in with fabulous costumes. Many thanks to all our wonderful parents who helped get the costumes ready for the event. Weka Class I am sorry if I missed you in the photos (it was a little hectic). Please email me any photos you have and I will upload them as well.

Jupiter
We made models and wrote about Jupiter.
Jupiter is/ has …
an interesting planet to learn about
lots of storms
The thick clouds make stripes on Jupiter
a powerful Great Red Spot
powerful spooky storms
lightning zipping and zapping
tornadoes twisting and turning
76 moons
Bianca
Jupiter Is …
the biggest planet
the fifth planet from the sun
terribly windy and stormy
vast
Has a moon called Io
Has a terribly humungous storm called the
Red Spot
Has thick clouds
No one can stand on Jupiter

Welcome Back to Term 3
Welcome back to Term 3 Weka Class and a very big welcome to Sean who
is joining our class. Sean we hope you will be very happy here at St Pauls. We hope you all had a very happy holiday and had lots of fun.
This term we will be beginning a new Science and Art topic
about ‘Fabric and Fibre'. We will have lots of fun finding out about the properties of different materials and where they came from, as well as exploring ways that we can create with them. We will be sending home a list of bits and pieces that we need help collecting for this unit, but in the meantime if you have any scraps of wool at home we would love you to bring it in for us to use. We will also be learning about our Parish Church and what it means for us to belong to and be part of this community. We hope to make links to people within the parish and visit the Church.
Following up from last terms Space Topic - Google are running a 'Space Camp' this week with lots of interesting activities online. Click on this link beginning Monday 20th to have a look: https://camp.withgoogle.com/activities/week2
We are looking forward to another great term in Weka Class.
